"Working for a balanced, safe and pleasant environment for all"
As our motto explains, we are seeking to retain and strengthen the pleasing character of our area to the benefit of all residents. The aim of this website is to provide residents with useful information about living in the area, which lies to the East of York close to the University of York and the historic village of Heslington.
The BHRCG is managed by an elected Committee of six residents (Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Badger Hill East, Badger Hill West and Badger Hill South). All residents of Badger Hill qualify for membership. Every property on the estate has a BHRCG Committee representative, the details of which are included in our newsletter. The latest and previous editions are available for downloading in the Newsletters page.
Open annual meetings are held in Spring. We encourage all residents to attend and also make contact with their area Committee members in helping us to achieve our aims of Encouraging Neighbourliness
As stated in the BHRCG constitution, encouraging neighbourliness and improving the quality of life of all residents are among the principal aims of the group. Being a good neighbour simply requires that all residents pay due concern to the human right for all residents to ‘the peaceful enjoyment of their property’
(as enshrined in the European Bill of Human Rights – Protocol 1, Article 1).
